Claire & Mitchell

Claire and Mitchell’s wedding at Gilbertsville Farmhouse was the kind of day that reminds you why people love weddings. This wasn’t a stuffy, over-the-top production—it was heartfelt, laid-back, and bursting with good vibes. When they reached out to me to film their wedding, their vision was clear: something joyful and celebratory but not overly polished. They wanted their wedding film to feel like them. So, I grabbed my 4K Sony camera and my trusty 90’s camcorder and got to work.

One of the coolest parts of this gig? Claire and Mitchell took one of my vintage camcorders home a few days before the wedding. It made the rounds—family, friends, whoever wanted to hop in front of the lens. People left sweet messages, shared funny stories, and even captured a few random moments of pre-wedding chaos. By the time the big day arrived, they already had a treasure trove of candid clips, and it added such a personal vibe to the final film!

The wedding itself? Absolute magic! The 4K footage brought all the crisp, cinematic feels—Claire walking down the aisle, Mitchell’s teary smile, and everyone losing it on the dance floor! But it was the camcorder footage that really gave the film its charm. Those grainy, nostalgic shots of guests laughing, dancing, and being their goofy selves made everything feel so real. Mixing the modern with the retro created something that wasn’t just a wedding video; it was a time capsule of the day!

When Claire and Mitchell saw the finished film, their reaction was everything I hoped for. “Joyful and fun, with some sentimentality,” they said. Nailed it! That’s the sweet spot I aim for—something that’s raw and real but still looks amazing. If you’re looking for a wedding film that’s less staged and more you, let’s chat. Whether it’s the crisp detail of 4K or the retro vibes of a 90’s camcorder (or both), I’m here to tell your story your way. Check out my work and the take-home camcorder experience!
